PHOTOCOPY of a Vintage Pattern to make two Boudoir Dolls, about 36 inches, along with their Costumes. These dolls are fascinating to make and to dress in their fancy costumes. Firstly, you make their bodies from flesh colored sateen, then embroider their faces and make their hair of wool -- one white, one henna. Next comes the dressmaking which is delightful to do. Flowered organdy with numerous flounces and matching pantalets make the demure Colonial costume; sleek satin with ruffs and pompoms the Follies girl outfit. PLEASE NOTE: Not recommended for the novice doll maker. Because this pattern came from a very old and used original McCall pattern the sewing directions are limited. There are written instructions for embroidery and hairdos; with assembly, sewing and finishing details of dolls and clothing limited to what is written on each pattern piece; the experienced doll maker should have no trouble at all with this pattern.
