Night light doll made by Victoria Lane of Eggbags.com using our Ruby Platinum Mohair for her beautiful hair.

I used the Tibetan Lamb's wool I purchased from you . I love how it came out...it was easy to work with. BTW thank you for the Doll Hair Tips and Tricks.

Hi!! I just wanted to show you what I made with the material I ordered from your store. The little tots are kid-sized versions of SG-1 (TV show) characters Daniel Jackson and Jack O'Neill. (I draw cartoons of them on a fan forum, and decided to try to make dolls for the heck of it) The material worked GREAT, and I had a blast making my very first dolls! I sort of had a doll pattern, but had to make up the rest, because of the show's costumes. I really haven't sewn much, so I was happy they turned out!!! Hopefully, I can encourage people to take a chance, and have some fun!! I have NO sewing skills, only a desire to have fun. I couldn't read a pattern instruction to save my life. I didn't let that stop me, and made up things as I went Thank you again for offering just what I needed. I will shop with you again and recommend your store to friends!

SCANDANAVIAN GNOME ELVES using our Tibetan Wool

Fran, I just wanted to tell you that I went out to my mailbox today and was pleased to find my package of wooly beards. I LOVED THE QUALITY of the Tibetan wool. It is sooo nice! Kind of you to send the pattern for the doll as well. I am very excited to get started on my projects as I think the wool will produce extra special Swedish Tomtes. I will send you pictures and be sure to check my website http://kimfelsen.etsy.com  in a few days or so! Thanks! I will be ordering again! AWESOME SERVICE AND QUALITY!

These were the dolls I did for my family reunion this year. I used Shelley Hawkey's Conchita pattern, they were used to decorate the tables at "It's A Family Affair." It was quite an adventure for me....smile.... I actually started that project on the end of February this year  and did some historical and ethnic researching it took some time.  Dollmaking helps me to alleviate the stress and  is so calming and therapeutic. The profile technique is something I have never done before.  Two dolls of each ethnic group represented the ethnic groups that brought our family to be what it is today, French, Irish, Biloxi Indian, Mexican, and African;  and the event turned out great....smile.

Hi Fran,

Just wanted to thank you - I love all the fabric in the stash and the dental instruments came through just fine. Got everything today which is pretty quick! My husband is American and he has confiscated the American flag fabric! This is my latest:
Here is Mrs Apple, one of the mice characters from Brambly Hedge by Jill Barklem, and this is from the Brambly Hedge Pattern Book:

Here is one of the patterns I bought from you (with some modification). He is Doc from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs... but I've turned him into an indoor gnome!

This is a pirate doll I made for my son for Christmas.  She is from a pattern by Mary Tressler but it is paperclay. The hair is Tibetan lambs wool that I got from you that was white for Santa's, but I dyed it dark brown for the pirate girl.  She has lots of hair.

Hello, I bought some raw wool a while back (I should be ordering more soon), and I finally got the chance to use it. It's just so wonderful, I think it's what makes the dolls special. Here are a couple of pictures of my dolls and your wool. Thanks for the wonderful quality. Have a Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year

BEarWILDERED BEARS by Merilyn

I just finished a life-sized set of dolls for the fabric store I work at. My boss really loves them and has put them into a Halloween display.
I had to make this pattern on my own. I even had to research how tall a 5 year old is! I had three boys and couldn't remember. Both dolls are 43 inches tall and take a children's size 5 in clothing. The only trouble is, now I need more stuffing! Gosh, kids eat a lot! Tee hee

Hi
I just finished this yesterday. One of the best value patterns I have bought. I learn a lot of tips from it. Now its not easy BUT that is what I wanted. I hope she makes more for the advanced sewer. I had not heard of her until I seen her patterns on your site. Some patterns are just not worth the money you buy one and then after that they are all the same just a different take on the one thing. This annoys me. The witches dress I use 100% Irish linen that I have a good bit off. Its a loose weave and just worked so well. I also use your gift of the rusty pins. I didn't make bloomers for her. I love her bare legs and knees showing (No modesty) !!! If you have not used this pattern do take a look at it. Thanks again for having a wonderful site.
I keep checking to see if there are any new patterns.

"Sleeping Witch On Crow"  Pattern by
 Heidi Gianino of Crabby Gabby

Flying Santa and Lil Annie

Pattern includes 23" Flying Santa, 8" Annie, Flag, quilted bag, two sizes of candy canes, two sizes of stars ,Pattern by Sierra Mountain Prims. http://clothdollsupply.com/primitivepatterns2.html#christmas

The flying Santa I gave him a Star and didn't give him the little Annie. I did make her but found she looked too big on him.  His bag looks better than in the pic. One thing I found with Mica flakes was that I put some in a food blender and made them finer. I like the effect better.
So that has been keeping me busy LOL

The Snowman was done in  WARM&Natural. I used the glass glitter on his star. He was easy to make but a lot of stuffing!!

I came up with this doll entirely on my own.  She's about 16" tall including her hat.

Thought you might enjoy seeing some of the places my dolls go to. I send them to Logoi.org Ministries where they get packaged into Pastor's Care Packages for countries in South America. I work everyday on them.

My friend Carolyn (she has been a friend since we were little girls)  is in the blue t-shirt wearing antlers.  The others are Logoi  Ministries office workers from various countries

Cuddly Big Doll

I finally finished my modern version of the Big Doll McCall's 903.  This is for my 4 year old grand daughter's birthday in April.  I have named her Aimee which is French for "friend".  Her jacket, skirt and pants are a denim with embroidered roses. Her jacket is not double breasted as I am trying to make her clothes a bit more of today's styles. Her pj's are Miss Kitty flannel with a Miss Kitty face button. Her shoes are white oil cloth Mary Jane's with real baby sox and all closures are Velcro and elastic waists for pants and skirt.  Here are her pix and one of "Jill", the doll my mom made for me in 1943.  Jill is Aimee's grandmother. :-D

I have the book, "Cloth Dolls" by Brenda Brightmore.  I followed her pattern for the dolls and I have to say they turn out so wonderful and they're very simple to make.  I use fake fur for the hair but I have also used yarn in one case.

I make up a birth certificate for each one.  I give them a birth name, however make out the certificate so that the adoptive parent can write their own name for their doll. The last thing I do to the doll is make a belly button.  When I cut the umbilical cord, I note the time and that is the time of birth of the doll. I sign each doll on it's butt, with date and time of birth.
