"In
the Pumpkin Patch" Soft-Sculpture Pumpkin Vignette
Our "In the Pumpkin Patch" is unlike any other soft-sculpture
pumpkin pattern. The pumpkins are fully dimensional, but will
come apart just like a puzzle for flat storage. The pumpkins
will look great in a vignette as pictured above or stacked next
to your favorite scarecrow. Included will be patterns and
directions for 3 different size pumpkins, the pumpkin leaves,
crow, moon and bat. Also, be sure to check out other patterns
such as “Fielding” and “Ned and Nellie” scarecrows as well as
other patterns which are fun to make.
"In the Pumpkin Patch" is an easy-to-make project even for the
beginner. We have pictured our pumpkins made of Fall colored
calicos as well as painted over a coat of gesso. If you are a
decorative painter, these would be beautiful using that
technique as well.

"Emily Jean" A 17 inch Embroidered Pillow
Doll
Recently while cleaning my great aunt’s house, I found a doll
kit from the 1920s that was partly finished. Many pieces were
missing as were the directions for assembly, but the embroidery
directions were still with the kit. Such an innocent face, I
knew that I had to try to design what I thought the "missing"
pieces might have been like and put it together as a pattern for
others to enjoy. This "sweetie" has directions and pattern
pieces for the dress and bloomers just as you see in her
picture. If you make the clothes removable you can create a
whole wardrobe of dresses and bloomers! What
a wonderful child’s
"friend" and what an adorable addition to your sofa or chair.
She just makes you want to smile!

"Amethyst"
30" Witch
"Amethyst" is a 30” witch that is made on a wire armature.
Although she is designed to hang on a wall or door she can also
sit. Doll is made of unbleached muslin which has been dyed green
and has minimal soft-sculpting. We also include directions for
creating her purple hair using readily available materials.
This pattern has minimal sewing, however, the doll as pictured
above has a gusseted head which might be difficult for some
inexperienced dollmakers. If you have never worked with gussets
before, don't let that stop you from trying our "Amethyst". Our
pattern also includes directions for making the head without the
gusset. Using a gusset merely makes a fuller chin area.

"Ned &
Nellie Crowfield" 25" Scarecrow Dolls
"Ned & Nellie Crowfield" are 25 inches not including his hat or
her topknot. They are made of tea-dyed unbleached muslin. Both
dolls have flat bottoms for easy sitting. They have tea-dyed
worsted-weight cotton yarn for hair. They have buttons for eyes
and remaining facial features are hand embroidered. Their
stockings are striped cotton knit. Both dolls have sisal twine
trims.
Our instructions will take you step by step through the
construction
of both "Ned & Nellie" including clothing. We have included
instructions for tea-dying muslin. We rate this pattern as easy
enough for the beginner, but fun for the experienced dollmaker
too.P CL 85 - $8.50

"Fielding"
20" Hanging Scarecrow
"Fielding", a 20" scarecrow is made using muslin strips tied
over a wire armature similar to a yarn doll. The wire armature
allows you to pose your scarecrow for hanging on your door or
you can bend his legs to make him sit. This is a fun project and
requires little sewing skills. In fact, in many instances you
will be able to choose to either stitch or use your hot glue gun
to complete him. We do, however, recommend that you use a rotary
cutter to cut the strips.
Our instructions will take you step by step through the
construction of "Fielding" including his wire armature and
clothing. We rate this pattern as easy enough for the beginner,
but fun for the experienced dollmaker too.

Snowpeople Stick Together!
What fun! A row of snowpeople (9" high without hats) to keep out
the drafts during the cold winter months or just be a delightful
addition to your Winter décor. You can also use the snowmen to
sit on a shelf or fireplace. They even look cute around the
bottom of a Christmas tree.
I have designed this pattern so that the finished length can be
adjusted just by adding the number of middle snowmen to
the
pattern to make the length you desire. Each additional snowman
will add about 4 inches to the finished size. To create a
draftstopper for a 36" door you would need 6 middle snowpeople,
plus one right side and one left side. I have also included
patterns and instructions for a 7" shelf-sitter.

“Memory
Angel”
20 inch “Memory Angel” is a beautiful
wall-hanging that can be made to hold “special memories”. Make a
family heirloom and have your “Memory Angel” hold items that are
special to you, or give her as a gift and let the recipient fill
her hands with their own special “memories”.
"Memory Angel" has wired hands that will make it easy for her to
hold any lightweight item that you choose. Perhaps one single
silk rose as we have pictured her or maybe a small heart or star
pillow with embroidery. Place a small teddy bear in her arms and
hang her in the baby’s room. However you choose to display her,
she will be a wonderful home accent. The possibilities are
endless!
(
The angel pictured is in memory of my “Angel”, my daughter Karen
Jane, and is wearing the crocheted necklace (pattern not
included) that I made for her first prom. I also placed one of
her favorite necklaces in the angel’s hands.)

Patricia Marion
Patricia Marion is a 20 inch rag doll pattern which is easy for
the beginning doll maker to complete, but would also be
enjoyable for the more experienced dollmaker. The head
construction in this pattern is a modification of the Japanese
style of doll making. Using this construction method on all my
dolls about a year ago after reading Storybook Dolls: Stuffed
Dolls to Make & Treasure by Kyoko Yoneyoma. This technique makes
a very stable neck area and thus a great doll for a child’s toy.
Though it requires some hand stitching to attach the head to the
body, the finished doll is well worth the effort

"
Winter Window Welcomer"
He will greet guests and passersby with a cheery
smile and a hand wave. This pattern is super easy to make and
the best part is that he will easily sit on any windowsill.
Included is full-size patterns and instructions to make the
snowman, his hat and scarf. You can even make his face on both
sides so that you not only have him greeting your guests at the

well. We have him pictured in a child’s size 7 shirt which you
can either buy, or if you have a child that size, wouldn’t they
just love to see the snowman wearing their clothes! The only
requirement for
our snowman is a double-hung window that opens.
The snowman is pictured in the lower half of a double hung
window -- the lower half of the window pictured above measures
32" wide x 25" high. You may have to adjust the pattern to fit
your particular needs depending on the size of your window. This
can be done by reducing or enlarging on a copier.
